Sport requires special clothing

Doing sport is healthy, but also exhausting to the same extent. Just as the body is exposed to stress during exercise, sportswear also has to cope with a lot. Some sports can therefore only be carried out with appropriate sportswear, others do not necessarily need them. However, it can be beneficial.

The reason for the need for sportswear is, on the one hand, that the respective movements are performed numerous times in succession and, on the other hand, that the body sweats during exercise. The clothing must therefore not only be particularly stable, but also breathable. In order to achieve this, special substances are usually used.

But not only clothing, but also hats or sunglasses are part of the equipment for some sports. For example, golfers or skiers and snowboarders wear sunglasses to protect themselves from the sun. There are now even sports sunglasses that are specially tailored to the needs of athletes. Caps, on the other hand, are mainly used in winter sports to protect yourself from the cold. These should also be made of a material that is breathable and does not absorb sweat too much. Training gloves are used in fitness and weight trainingused for a secure grip and protection of the skin on the hands.

The perfect fit

With all clothing you should ensure that it fits perfectly. But this is even more important when it comes to sportswear. Because if you move in it and always have to pay attention to a perfect fit, then it is extremely annoying when exercising. The sportswear must neither be too tight nor too loose. Therefore, when it comes to sportswear, it is all the more important to try it on carefully before buying it, so that you don't notice afterwards that it is too big or too small.

The fabrics

As already mentioned, sportswear has to cope with a lot of sweat. Clothing that absorbs this is anything but suitable for sporting activities. The clothing must be able to regulate body temperature and thus protect against possible overheating or hypothermia. To do this, the fabric also has to be breathable. In the best case scenario, the sweat should not stay on the skin.

Sportswear must meet a number of conditions. Some sports require special sportswear. With others, however, you can wear sportswear, but it doesn't have to be. Above all, if you only see sport as a hobby, you don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money to buy sportswear.
