Lose excess pounds through healthy eating and exercise

Many people struggle unsuccessfully against their extra pounds. The reason for this are diets in which you are allowed to eat as little as possible, but after some time cravings set in and you usually have more on the scales than before. Because of this, many overweight people feel depressed and have given up losing weight. But it is possible to lose weight - the solution is a healthy diet and sufficient exercise.

Eating a healthy diet - what to watch out for

To lose weight healthily, you don't have to go hungry. Rather, it is about changing the previous diet. The important thing is three Meals to take in. Many people do without a balanced breakfast, but this meal in particular is so important to stimulate the metabolism and to get the energy you need for the day. Snacks between meals should be avoided if possible. If that is not possible, you should rely on raw vegetables or nuts. Under no circumstances should sweets be used as snacks between meals. These should be avoided as much as possible with a healthy diet. Alcohol is also rather counterproductive for losing weight. Fruit and vegetables, on the other hand, should be eaten five times a day. That sounds difficult at first, but if you eat some fruit and vegetables with each main meal and some fruit as a snack, the five servings are usually not a big problem. Fish should also be a major part of the diet. This contains important omega 3 fatty acids and enough protein. On the other hand, fats should be reduced. It is best to use less fat when frying or use cold-pressed vegetable oils straight away. Using olive oil or rapeseed oil is much healthier than sunflower oil, for example.

Diets are mostly based on reducing the calorie intake to 800 to 1000 calories. A healthy diet should include between 1200 and 1600 calories. It is not necessary to count these day by day. The change in diet will already result in weight loss.

Adequate hydration

Eating is one side, drinking is the other. Because without enough fluids, the desired weight reduction will be difficult. Experts advise that at least three liters of fluid is necessary when changing your diet. It should be put on water, teas and fruit juice spritzers. If, on the other hand, you drink predominantly sweet fruit juices and lemonades, that happens lose weight healthy difficult. Even if you eat healthy, the wrong drinks can ruin your success.

You can jog, walk, dance or work out on the various machines in the fitness studio. It is also important to enjoy regular exercise. Therefore, you should choose something that you enjoy doing.

Plan a certain amount of time

Losing weight healthily also means not losing too much weight in a short period of time. One kilo a week is healthy. Doctors would already describe more as unhealthy. Losing weight over a long period also increases the chance of maintaining the weight afterwards.
